Luke is doing well today. He continues to have brief periods of apnea however they are very few and far between. The dosage of caffeine has been increased due to his increase in weight...He is up to 3 lbs 8 oz! He has 4 more days of antibiotic and will likely have the PICC line removed once that is completed. Dr. Nijar says he plans to repeat the spinal tap once the antibiotics are completed so hopefully that will be by the end of this week. When we visit Luke is usually sleeping soundly on his belly. Sleep means growth so we try not to disturb him too much but its hard to resist his sweet, little tootsies and fuzzy, warm back. Our touch-time is limited but we'll take it for now.
My favorite form of worship is through song and I thoroughly enjoy pretending that I can sing when I'm in my car by myself. Jeff got me the Casting Crowns CD for my birthday & track #2 (Praise You In This Storm) is my new favorite tune that I belt out on the way to & from the hospital. The introduction to this song says, "Sometimes God calms our storms. Sometimes He chooses to ride them with us." We believe He is there and doesn't mind if I pray off key.
